About Me, author and designer of Camping-N-More in MichiganBut for right now, let me take this opportunity to tell you a little about me. My name is Timothy P. Bowman; I go by the name of Tim. I am in the early stages of being a senior citizen; I was born and raised in Mid-Michigan near the city of Big Rapids. I have worked most of my life at Ferris State University. I am married, have four daughters, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I am looking forward to the day when I can retire, and spend more time at a Michigan Campground, enjoying a Michigan Event or visiting a Michigan Festival. I have never had much money, so camping was a way I could spend an enjoyable time with my family without having to spend a lot of money. I am a Christian, I do believe in God, the Bible and doing onto others as I wish them to do onto me. I have built this web site to help, direct, inform and assist all interested campers. It is my desire to guide fellow campers in becoming good, safe and happy campers. I hope to create a community of campers, assisting other campers, with information and ideas on where to go and what to do in this great state of Michigan. It makes no difference if you have very little money or if you are a multimillionaire. There is a place in the camping life for all of us. I will do all I can to provide everyone with helpful information, so you can find and enjoy that little rusty campsite deep in the woods, all the way up to that plush, paved and manicured private campsite. I will do my best to give you the most accurate and up-to-date information about Michigan Campgrounds, Michigan Festivals, Celebrations and Michigan Events. I will also tell you about Activities, camping equipment and camping in general to make your next Family outing an enjoyable experience.
